I certainly do have a travel bucket list plan (if that’s a thing). I started making my rounds to the Caribbean in 2008 and I’ve since fallen in love with quick trips to the islands. They’re always quick for me being that I’m over relaxation and ready for active sport and exploring after 4 to 5 days. St. Lucia was an impromptu island hop during my trip to the nearby island of Martinique. Three days here was just perfect. I was able to tackle quite a few prominent activities with the time allotted. Jet skiing around this beautiful island with friends was a wonderful experience. You can discover smaller private beaches that are otherwise hidden from site by circling the island this way. Boating over to Pigeon Island is St. Lucia’s biggest tourist attraction and well worth the time if you like history, hiking, and local cuisine. My favorite part of this trip goes to meeting the locals. An island of welcoming people who love to have a good time… perfect. Luckily for us, we happened to land on a Friday just in time for the island’s Friday night Anse La Raye Fish Fry. People travel all over the world to attend the festivals here packed with local chefs, an awesome DJ and lots of dancing. It’s the perfect mix of fun and relaxation. A very unexpected and memorable trip.
